The experiment conducted in this study showed that both steel shots and glass beads are effective at surface preparation, but there are differences in the surface roughness and cleanliness achieved with each abrasive material. The case studies from industries in India provide a real-world perspective on the usage of steel shots and glass beads for surface preparation and highlight the importance of selecting the appropriate abrasive material and parameters for a given application.
