Something I’ve been working with recently is planning out my day using the “Eisenhower Matrix.” Each morning I draw a matrix with four sections in my Evernote Moleskine and label them (1) “urgent/important,” (2) “not urgent/important,” (3) “urgent/not important,” and (4) “not urgent/not important.” I then fill it in with the top items from my computer to-do list. I consult the matrix throughout the day and work almost exclusively on the items in the first two categories.
(The facing page in my notebook has some reading notes from a John C. Maxwell book.)
