Martyn has has an MA in Fine Art and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. With over 25 years teaching experience, he has worked at Norwich, Loughborough, Central St Martins and Nottingham Trent Universities, with fine art, graphic design, textiles, fashion and decorative arts students at degree level, and graphic design and textiles at MA level. ​His strategies for teaching drawing have been developed from his own experiences when learning to draw. His methods are well proven and challenge many of the traditional models of tuition.  How to get better at drawing? Martyn prioritises confidence building and encourages experimentation in combination with sensitive observation and a philosophic approach to this most fundamental, and human, mode of expression.
