I'm not going to patronize people by going through this step by step.  It might help to know that the binder clip is an office depot brand binder clip size medium.  It works both ways of course and it is actually really sturdy – the pencil (which is a Foray retractibile pencil) does not go anywhere.  The downside is that the pencil doesn't slide out either.  The sticky notes shown in the second image are "Super Sticky" by Post-It.  Those work great bc they have adhesive on the entire backside (save a small strip to allow peeling) so they don't slide off and get lost.  I always have at least five of those on my inside cover bc you never know when you might need to put a reminder on something.
