I like the way you draw attention to certain features in your sketches. How long does it take you to finish a sketch like this? Do you use photographs or do you just sit on a bench and draw everything “live”?
Gabriel, thank you. I just seat and draw. Or usually I don’t even sit down, just stand in the most inconvenient places, because you never get a good composition from somewhere you can sit down. I also never use photos and don’t draw those things at home. If I haven’t finished something, I leave it like it is.
The time I spend on every drawing depends solely on how much time I have. There are similar sketches I spent 10 minutes on, and there are the same where I was drawing for an hour. I don’t use a pencil and draw directly in pen, so it saves me time.
