This sketch was inspired by a favorite past time I share with my assistant (aka youngest daughter), lounging at the beach. The goal was to capture just a quick image of what was around us because everyone was somewhere else. The absence of people in the scene is a true reflection of what we saw, which made it pretty special. The watercolor was added shortly after, using saltwater my assistant brought up from the ocean.
