2019 brought my first Solo Exhibition, “The Painting Pastor.” The invitation came as a surprise (and brought with it, I confess, half a year of budgeting for the framing my paintings)! Sales of my work were unexpectedly and almost unbelievably surreal and so 2019 was a year of affirmation, reminding me of two truths: people do still resonate with art they connect with, and that blessings often emerge when we least expect them when we do that which we love–even when it seems no one else notices. Pictured in my hand-made graphic for the exhibition, my oil painting titled “The Concrete Works.”
