Here is a very simple way to keep your pen or pencil together with your moleskine:

  1. open your moleskine at the back.
  2. put a pen or pencil into the pocket.
  3. carefully push the side of the pocket out.
  4. you have a penholder!

You can apply this hack to almost all moleskines.
